Philosophy – The Elixir Of Life

Man, being a conscious creature, lives his life not only to survive on the Earth but to design the best of his self-developed or self-experienced plan, giving rise to civilization and culture, custom and tradition, habits and manners, morals and ideologies, religion and community. This thought which man develops consciously or unconsciously for himself gives the basic foundation to his life as a theory of the of the world and the individual and an art of living social or national life even on discordant notes, and thus shaping his whole attitude to life, it gives expression to the whole spicy world .This belief is nothing but the philosophy of life without which Man is none but a frog lying deep in the mud . Hence we can say that each and every man whether educated or uneducated, has his enjoy philosophy based either on his personal experiences or on one borrowed from others. But to live life in totality, Man needs a philosophy based on universal experiences, leading him from the finite to the infinite.
For the establishment of wonderful and perpetual coordination between human life and nature, it is considerable to view life and the universe as a whole with reference to the ultimate cause well manifest in all existence. And philosophy is the most efficient attempt in this direction, making an honest near to all problems and aspects of life and existence .It, being the ground of all knowledge and experience, helps us recognize into our life in terms of its extent, nature and value. The perfection of life, the quest of Truth, the cultivation of righteousness, the attainment of freedom and bliss, and the appreciation of beauty are the points which creates the hub of philosophy and thereby get a viable fetus casketing the whole cosmos. Therefore, we can say it is philosophy which sums up the whole life and without it life is impartial like an unexplored island.
No doubt, philosophy is the greatest need of life, but philosophical knowledge in proper sense of the term cannot be had through sense-experience which is confined unbiased to appearances. In this context, Hegel says that philosophy is the knowledge of that which is eternal, of God is, and what flows out His nature. The purpose of philosophy given by Hegel is already ingrained at best in the Vedanta which offers a cornucopia of knowledge and wisdom, unfolding the true and sacred lore of the Eternal. According to Swami Sivananda, the lawful philosophy is based on intuition and is meant to account for rationally one’s faith in Truth. That is to say, learning philosophy is having a self-introspection to know the Self, as it helps one spiritually realize not only the empirical existence but also the Eternal. Philosophy comes from no where but is an outcome of Man’s self-intuition, when he wants to know about transcendental matters in a reflective region of mind. Verbal combat such as theorizing and lecturing are unprejudiced colorful exercises and are of no value at all. Feeling the truth and practicing it in life is all about the importance of philosophy in life. vivid about the Self is beyond the reach of the science and the scientists who pride themselves on their inventions and discoveries, have reach to realize that their success is confined to the knowledge and observation which are unable to seize them to the ultimate cause lying beyond their current reasoning and calculation. A well known scientist, Eddington remarks that scientists have chased the solid substance from the continuous liquid to the atom, from the atom to the electron, and there they have lost it.
Some people gain that philosophy has no practical importance because it deals with such a thing which is beyond our perceptibility and conception of day-to-day life .Actually it talks about the Self and the Absolute which are not possible for a mortal like Man to know in an ordained period of time . They say like that because they are suffering from dualistic intuition which is ample only to reason with the explain position of mind and not to put and elaborate the pursuit for the highest goal .In fact, they need to have an integral intuition, guiding them to bag philosophy in life to achieve God, freedom, and immortality .Today Man on earth is living the life of a hunter who is chasing his quarry in the wilderness of the hedonistic world beyond which lies the sweet plum whose taste is even more elated than the pleased feeling following his success in the prove search . As a result, the indicate search of science is unable to unfold nature to the infinite. Hence science based on senses and reason must be allowed to go further into philosophy based on integral intuition, which opens the door to mysticism and helps man envisage the Truth.
It is quite evident here that philosophy is the best kind of healing which doesn’t only soothe our body and mind but also removes the cataract of ignorance to gape the Truth. Thus philosophy is an elixir which spurs us to wake up from our dogmatic slumber which seems to have sealed our spirits.
